5th & 6th Ministry

We are excited about what God is doing in lives of 5th and 6th graders. To meet their unique needs we have begun a new ministry just for them. They meet each Sunday morning at 9:15 for Sunday School, Sunday nights at 6:30 for an in depth bible study, and on Wednesday nights at 6:15 for free time in the FAC and for a weekly devotion.

We have 8 wonderful adults on this new team that are ready and waiting to teach, guide, and fellowship with you. So come on out and see what is taking place. We would love to have you.

End of School Event

May 14th at 5:00 we will meet at the church and eat pizza. We will then go to Whirlyball of Dallas for 2 hours of Whirlyball. There will also be time for video games and snacks-not included in the cost.  The cost is $15.00 and includes food, snacks at the church , and Whirlyball. For more info. on whirlyball you can visit www.whirlyballdallas.com. There is a sign up sheet in the 5th and 6th grade room.

 

Pre-Teen Camp

Pre-teen camp date for 2010 will be June 21-25.  It is held at Mt. Lebanon in Cedar Hill Texas. we encourage all our pre-teens to attend and bring their friends. Camp is full of fun activities, worship, dynamic Bible studies, and much more. This year we are glad to have Uncle Charlie and Keith Coast back with us. Each year camp is called "Camp GAP" and is for all those who have completed 3rd-6th grade. The fundraiser is Sunday night April 25th at 6:00. This will be a spaghetti dinner and auction. Students must participate in order to receive funds from the fundraiser.  Check out www.mtlebanoncamp.com for more information about the camp and our week's program. You can also get registration forms from that site or at the church. All forms and money are due Sunday June 6th at the mandatory parent meeting which will be at 5:30. The total cost for camp is$170. 5th & 6th Grade Summer Events

We have planned a variety of events throughout the summer that the 5th and 6th grade students can participate in. There is also a Sunday night and Wednesday night "Super Start" Bible Study from 6:30-7:30.

June 17th- (Thursday) Studio Movie Grill $5. We will leave the church at 5:30 PM. Food and the movie are included in the cost.

June 30th-(Sunday) Braums and Park (Bring money for Braum's). 7:30 PM

July 9th-(Friday) Water Park ($10) Location TBD 10:00 AM 

July 20th-(Tuesday) Bowling ($3) 11:00 (bring a sack lunch)

July 28th-(Wednesday) Dallas Cowboys Experience $15. We will leave the church at 10:00 AM. Bring a sack lunch.

August 10th- (Tuesday) Ft. Worth Zoo $5. Bring a sack lunch or money for lunch. 10:00

August 15th-(Sunday) Swim Party and pizza. 7:30-9:30. Location TBD.

Summer 5th and 6th Theme

Sunday and Wednesday nights at 6:30 for all students who have completed 5th and 5th grade.

Student Week

Youth Student Week is July 11-15. We will meet each night at 6:30 for a bible study and that will be followed by a special event. All 6th grade students are invited to join us for this special event. The cost for the week is $60 but you can receive a $10 discount if you are signed up and paid by June 27th. You can also choose to pay each night. You do not have to attend the special event and just attend the bible study, in that case there would be no cost. Each night inlcudes food.
